1967 Porsche 910 #36 1:18 Scale: Sebring 12 Hours,1st in class/3rd overall
The standard 2-liter Porsche 910 Coupe was first seen at Daytona in 1967 where it finished 4th behind three 4-liter Ferraris! At Sebring it finished 3rd and 4th behind the 7-liter Ford GT40s! Third at Monza and fifth at the 1000km Spa, the amazing Porsche 910s had done extremely well against cars with 2 and 3 times their displacement. Porsche was out for overall victory, and the marvelous little 910 brought the German automaker closer than it had ever been before!Recreated from a digital master consisting of over 4,000 3D reference points, every aspect of the Porsche 910 is precisely and faithfully recreated, accurate to within .006′! New technologies have been employed, breaking new ground in the die-cast world. Each Porsche 910 replica features a die-cast zinc metal body, tub and belly pan with full opening parts including removable roof panel. This wonderful new replica is suspended on a functional sport-tuned suspension and active steering. Rubber-like Dunlop tires with genuine tread pattern adorn simulated magnesium Fuchs wheels. The interior is simple, like the real Porsche 910, but as carefully replicated as any other feature of this lovely racer. The doors open in true-to-the-original butterfly motion to reveal simulated fiberglass seat shells with suede-like covering. The miniature 2-liter flat-6 Porsche engine is fully wired and plumbed, using new materials for the six tiny fuel lines. Raw fiberglass-like parts including intake trumpets add to the realism that will make you think you can feel the heat rise off this hot little number!
